Is This The Coolest Outdoor Venue You’ve Never Been To?
When I think of Mt Carroll, Illinois I usually think about Raven's Grinn, the haunted house that was open 24/7/365. Or maybe the restaurant in the 90s that was rumored to only be open past midnight to avoid health code violations.
These days, Mt. Carroll is quickly becoming one of my favorite destinations.
Have you been to the Rhythm Section Ampitheatre yet? This is a MUST. I have described it as a "Midwestern Red Rocks". It's far off the beaten path (used also as a motocross arena) and you hike to this beautiful cavern-type setting where the stage sits in front of a pond.
The open air and the lawn seating make it a perfect place to see live music on a summer night.
They've got a bar made out of a silo with plenty of cold drink options and decks built up in the air for the best seats in the house.
Beyond the music, our creatively designed, legendary venue adds even more to the concert-going experience. Soak in the atmosphere at our open-air venue, where you’ll be surrounded by stunning landscapes while listening to top-notch acoustics. If you’re looking for a truly memorable concert experience – it’s right here, at The Rhythm Section Amphitheater.
If this sounds like a place you'd like to check out...there are a few dates left this summer for some killer shows!
You missed a bunch of great shows this year. Don't make the same mistake next year.
