Millennials Need a Large Salary to Be Happy

They say that money can't buy happiness and it seems like the millennial generation would have to disagree with that old adage.

A new survey from TD Ameritrade called "Millennials and Work" found out how much money people aged 21 to 37 needed to make in order to be happy. The amount may or may not surprise you.

Millennial woman said that they need to earn at least $58,500 a year to consider themselves happy. The men who were surveyed raised the bar considerably, they said they need to earn $118,000 a year to be happy.

That amount is more than double how much they said they needed in a poll two years ago. In 2016 millennial men said they only needed $55,000 per year.
