Metallica will release what they're calling the “definitive” reissue of their landmark 1988 album … And Justice for All on Nov. 2.

The reissue will be available in multiple formats, including Expanded and Deluxe editions that include previously unreleased material, such as demos and rough mixes of songs, video content, live albums and band interviews.

You can watch guitarist Kirk Hammett discuss the reissue in a new video below.

All versions of the record will include … And Justice in remastered sound, overseen by engineer Greg Fidelman.

The … And Justice for All reissue will be available physically as a standard double 180 gram LP, standard CD, three-CD Expanded Edition, cassette, Limited Edition Deluxe box set and digitally as a standard album (available to stream and download), an Expanded Edition (available for download only), and a digital deluxe box set (available for streaming and download).

The Expanded Edition will include previously unreleased demos, rough mixes, previously unreleased live tracks, and an expanded booklet of photos by rock photographer Ross Halfin.

The one-pressing-only Limited Edition Deluxe box set will include the remastered double 180g LP, a “One” picture disc, three LPs featuring their performance from Seattle in 1989, 11 CDs, four DVDs and other additional stuff.

Metallica are accepting pre-orders for the reissue on their website.

… And Justice for All was Metallica’s fourth album, and their first to hit the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It featured the track "One," which became the band's first Top 40 hit.

It has also carried with it a share of controversy, because bassist Jason Newsted’s parts were virtually mixed out of the record.
