This year's Memorial Day at Rock Island National Cemetery is going to be a lot different than past years.

Without a public flag placing ceremony, they weighed their options, and settled on a best-of-the-situation.

The VA will stream a live wreath-laying ceremony, followed by a moment of silence and the playing of Taps. The ceremony will not be open to the public.

You will be able to honor veterans buried at the cemetery through an online memorial through the Veterans Legacy Memorial website.

Find more details by following the Rock Island Arsenal Facebook page, and checking the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs website.
