I don't know what it is about the Midwest, but we've been very fortunate when it comes to the limited-time perfection of food, the McRib. It seems every year, once the leaves fall from the tree, a frigid breeze blows across the fields, almost whispering to us that the sculpted mystery meat sandwich drowned in barbecue sauce is coming back.

Apparently McDonald's decided that since they took away all-day breakfast from us in the middle of 2020, when we needed to be able to get a McGriddle at 2:30pm, the least they could do is bring back the McRib.

Why we don't get the McRib year-round isn't known, but what is known is that all of the German locations do, which makes no sense to me.

The sandwich will hit all 14,400 stores next month.
