Maquoketa Man Earns Title of Best Grocery Bagger

The world would be a better place if everyone went into their job with the same gusto that Trevor DeForest.

If you've had the pleasure to shop at Fareway in Maquoketa, your groceries were probably bagged perfectly. That's because they employ only the best.

Trevor just won the title of "Best Grocery Bagger in the Country" from a competition with the National Grocers Association. "It’s attitude, style, technique and weight distribution," he said to KCRG.

Baggers are judged on speed, item arrangement, and weight distribution as they place three dozen items in three different bags. His win nets him a $10,000 prize.
