Man Waiting For Bus Plummets Into Sinkhole

Leonard Shoulders, 33, was minding his own business while waiting for the bus, when a sinkhole opened up and swallowed him whole.

“He couldn’t move, and the rats were crawling all over him,” Greg White, Shoulders' brother said. “He didn’t scream, because he didn’t want the rats going into his mouth.”

Emergency crews said it took about half an hour to extract him from the 15' deep hole, and he was then taken to the hospital where he was treated for a broken arm and a broken leg.
