Man Tries to Cure Vibes With Pancake Party. Succeeds.
We never expected to live through a pandemic. Some people took up reading or exercising. Some of us took up drinking more and crying.
The long term effects of what happened over the last couple years will reveal itself in time. But one thing I know is...I Need People.
I love my family. I couldn't have gotten through this without them. But I need other people to hang with to keep my mental state above water. So we reached out on social media and did some live streams where the kids could answer questions and talk about their day.
We got drunk on Zoom with friends. One session in particular was memorable albeit super blurry. It ended with a buddy finishing off his bottle of Jack Daniels and throwing up. His girlfriend grabbed the phone to make sure the rest of us could watch. lol
Like I said....Frayed Ends of Sanity were showing their ugly selves.
A wife in San Francisco saw the same in her husband and encouraged him to see other people. Like around 75 of them.
According to Today:
“San Francisco is in a bad way. Vibes are all effed up. I can’t do much to solve the problems here, but I can make pancakes,” he tweeted. “So I hung up fliers all over the neighborhood and made pancakes. Over 75 people came and over 125 pancakes were eaten.”
This means each person got 1 and 1/4 pancake. A far cry from making friends, that's just a great way to tick me off! Give me a full stack or at least some bacon and I'll call you "brother!"
