Nobody wants to drive down a snowy road, but apparently some people are willing to try harder than others.

A Ukrainian man called the police to tell them that he had killed his mom's partner by stabbing him in the chest.

“But at the same time he immediately warned the police that they should come with a snowplow, because there is no other way to get to him," said Yuliya Kovtun, a police spokesperson.

She said officers did not bring a snowplow, but made it to his house in an SUV.

“Immediately after arriving, they discovered that the relative was indeed at the house, but in one piece and unharmed. No one had attacked him,” Kovtun said, adding that the "killer" immediately confessed to making a fake call.

The man, who wasn't named, is facing a fine of 119 hryvnias, or about $5 USD.
