Nothing is worse than being snacky and not being able to get ahold of what you're looking for - especially when whatever you're craving is right in front of you - in someone else's hand.

Police in Akron, Ohio say their detectives arrested a 42-year-old man on Wednesday evening who is accused of shooting a victim in the face for eating his potato chips.

According to police, officers determined that 42-year-old Melvin Wright as a suspect in the shooting that took place around 9pm Tuesday night outside of Lusty’s Adventures, a bar in the 40 block of Stanton Avenue.

Metro RTA police arrested Wright on charges of felonious assault and weapons under disability.

Akron police say the victim took himself to Summa Health Akron City Hospital after being shot in the face.

He told police a man he didn’t know confronted him. Then, police said the victim reported the man shot him in the face after he refused to share potato chips with the man.

According to police, officers found a handgun on Wright during the arrest that may have been used during the assault.

Wright is behind bars at the Summit County Jail.
