So, we are a month away from Tribute Fest V2.

Michaels is most-likely out due to a broken ankle (We are leaving the door open, because in the spirit of Madi Ramirez, anything is possible) but the guys in Project X will continue the show as Doz 'n Roses! This puts them under a little more pressure, but that's what makes this such a fun gig. It means a lot to the bands playing.

Check out the Video 'Dr. Love' from last year as Kiss'd Off with Billy on the skins. What a great night!

New this year are the QC Rock Academy wonderkids Hum Hum and The Crash playing as Crashed and Confused, the youngest tribute to the mighty Led Zep that Greg Hipskind says will surprise us all.

Speaking of Hipskind, his outfit that you all might know better as Wicked Liz & The Bellyswirls will also be at Tribute Fest V2, throwing down as Jett Set in what I can only expect will be the best one-off Joan Jett & The Blackhearts Tribute since I saw Johnny Depp sing 'Bad Reputation!' at karaoke night in The Viper Room.

Spam Halen returns (Bugeye Sprite in their street clothes) along with the Quad Cities newest tribute act, One Night Live featuring the music of Dokken! We'll finish off the night with Electric Shock, who basically were the impetus for this great night some years ago.

Musically, we are primed for a kick-ass night--and there's NO COVER! A donation at the door will get you in. So will no donation. Come on out--have as much fun as you can, and be part of something great in the QCA!

We'll be raising awareness and money for CureSMA with raffles, t-shirt sales, 50/50, a bake sale, and a great dinner deal from Jeff's Market. The greatest thing is everyone you see there on Saturday, September 28th is donating their time.

If you're asking yourself, "How can I help to make this greater than it already sounds?" We are still looking for a few more prizes donated for the raffle table. Got a business? Maybe your employer? We have some great prizes already, and more on the way. You can message me, or shoot an email to dorks@2dorks.com.

Mostly, just plan on being at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds Saturday, September 28th. Doors open at 6--first band at 7! I'm truly proud to be part of this awesome party--and a pretty cool place to live.
