Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Brings New Balloons, Big Performances, and Holiday Cheer
The 99th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade runs tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM, bringing an extra dose of holiday magic to millions of viewers. This year’s event features brand-new balloons, fresh floats, and an all-star group of performers to help kick off the season.
New Balloons and Fan Favorites
A total of 34 giant balloons will glide through the streets, including classic favorites like Beagle Scout Snoopy, Bluey, Minnie Mouse, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Spider-Man. New additions this year include Buzz Lightyear, Super Mario, Pac-Man, and the unforgettable Shrek’s Onion Carriage.
Creative Floats and a Tiny Surprise
Twenty-eight floats will join the parade, including beloved entries from “Sesame Street,” Camp Snoopy, and “Dora the Explorer.” New highlights include eye-catching floats from LEGO, Labubu, and a “Stranger Things”-themed float featuring a performance from Foreigner. Parade organizers are also adding the smallest float ever created—an 8-inch-tall display built to scale with Goldfish crackers.
Star-Studded Performances
This year’s talent lineup includes Cynthia Erivo, Lil Jon, the voices of HUNTR/X from “Kpop Demon Hunters,” Foreigner, Lainey Wilson, Kool & the Gang, and Mr. Fantasy—who many believe may be actor KJ Apa’s alter ego.
How to Watch
The parade airs at 8:30 a.m. with an encore at 2:00 p.m. The three-and-a-half-hour broadcast will once again be hosted by Al Roker, Hoda Kotb, and Savannah Guthrie.
You can watch on NBC, Peacock, and Fubo. Peacock viewers can choose between three camera angles: the standard broadcast, a POV from the Turkey float, and a live bird’s-eye view.
(The full lineup is available on Macys.com, including fun facts and detailed float assignments for each performer.)
