A staple in LeClaire known for good food, wine tasting, and hosting of anniversaries birthdays, engagements, and even weddings has announced its closure after 30 years of business on Cody Road.

The sad announcement came from the restaurant's Facebook page, announcing the final date of the restaurant comes the middle of this week.

"The Faithful Pilot opened in 1991 under the philosophy of “ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.” This has always been our focus even when ownership changed in 2009. We have had the pleasure of creating so many memories over these 30 years. From anniversaries, birthdays, engagements, and even weddings. You, our guests, have made this possible. We have been blessed with some of the best staff throughout the years and many of our guests have become friends and people we call family. It comes with a heavy heart that we will be ending our chapter as The Faithful Pilot. Our final day of operation will be December 14, 2022."

Since their posting of the announcement, many Quad Citizens and beyond have shared their condolences of the restaurant leaving the Cody Road strip.

"Our favorite place in the QC! You will be so missed! Thank you for providing top level food and service! Wishing you all the very best!", Lesley Withers wrote.

"You will be so missed. Thank you for the incredible memories with family and friends. We hate to see you go. We wish you continuing success in all of your adventures ahead," Jen Hull commented.

"Thank you for being a special spot in our community for all these years. We're going to miss your food, drinks and especially your atmosphere. Best of luck with your next adventure," Gale Brown said.

The Faithful Pilot closes its doors tomorrow, December 14th. For the last two nights of operation, no food will be served, only drinks from their bar.

On top of being a popular location for special-occasion dinners, the restaurant also hosted multiple local musicians to entertain their guests as they ate, making this not just a loss for LeClaire and the local restaurant industry, but a loss for the Quad Cities Area music scene.

We're sad to see you go, Faithful Pilot.
