Kate McKinnon’s ‘Joe Exotic’ Series Ordered by NBCUniversal
Just when I think "Okay, that's it. The Joe Exotic story is over," something new comes up. It looks like there's a new TV series centered around the wild story.
Saturday Night Live's Kate McKinnon will play Carole Baskin, who you already know tried (and in the end succeeded) to shut down Joe's zoo, and for-profit breeding of cats.
The series was ordered without a pilot episode, and will be based on the Wondery podcast "Joe Exotic", NBCUniversal announced on Tuesday.
McKinnon's show will air in three places:
- NBC Broadcast Network
- USA Channel
- Peacock
McKinnon will be producing the show. Joe's role has yet to be cast, but personally I'm hoping for a new rising star to take his role, rather than anyone already out there.
