Hockey Fights Cancer and Valentines Date Night at The Quad City Storm Game
After three weeks away, the Quad City Storm is finally back at the Vibrant Arena for a massive three-game stretch. They aren't just bringing the heat; they’re bringing the heart, starting with a clash against the Peoria Rivermen in the legendary #ColdWarOn74.
A Morning for the Students
The action kicks off Thursday, February 12, with Education Day presented by Chick-fil-A. It’s going to be a "fowl" day for the opposition as thousands of local students pack the stands for a 10:30 AM puck drop. It’s the one day where "shouting in class" is actually encouraged.
Painting the Ice for a Cause
On Monday, February 9, fans can head to the arena from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM to paint the names of loved ones on the ice. This free event leads into Friday’s Hockey Fights Cancer Night. The team will wear custom jerseys to be auctioned for the Trinity Cancer Center.
“This event means a lot to us every year,” says Tricia Fisher of UnityPoint Health – Trinity. “Seeing the community come together to paint the names of loved ones on the ice – it’s incredibly moving.”
Storm president Brian Rothenberger added, “We are so incredibly fortunate to have the UnityPoint Health – Trinity team as a partner... we feel privileged to do what we can to support them.”
Love and Rivalries
The weekend finishes with Date Night on Valentine’s Day. Whether you're looking for a "puck-er" or just some hard-hitting hockey, it’s the perfect spot for a Saturday night out.
