Downtown Moline Is About To Be VERY Busy: Concert and Marathon Weekend
If you’re thinking about heading to downtown Moline on Saturday, September 26, you’re definitely going to want to plan ahead. It’s going to be one busy weekend around here, and honestly, it’s pretty cool to see so much happening downtown.
Ella Langley Is Coming To Town
Country music fans are going to be filling Vibrant Arena Saturday night when Ella Langley takes the stage.

She’s one of country music’s fastest-rising stars, with songs like “You Look Like You Love Me” and “Choosin’ Texas” becoming big hits. Based on tickets selling out within 3 hours, it looks like the Quad Cities are more than ready to see her.
If you’re planning on having a few drinks during the show, just figure out your ride home ahead of time. Grab a designated driver, use a rideshare or make another safe plan before you head out.

Then The Runners Take Over
Once the concert wraps up, downtown Moline will get ready for another huge event.
Thousands of runners will be in the Quad Cities Sunday morning for the TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon, with River Drive serving as the start and finish area.

That means you’ll want to pay attention to traffic if you’re heading downtown that weekend. River Drive will be closed between 12th and 15th streets, which could change some of the usual routes around Vibrant Arena.
Between a big country concert Saturday night and a major marathon Sunday morning, Moline is going to have a lot going on.
If you’re going to the concert, check out the parking options and maps ahead of time and give yourself a little extra time to get where you’re going.
The Moline Police Department shared in a Facebook post, "Attached are maps to help you with travel to and from the Ella Langley show as well as several parking options in downtown Moline so you can plan ahead. We will be information overloading you in the coming weeks as we all prepare for what is going to be an amazing weekend for Moline and the Quad Cities."
