3 Times Bigfoot Sightings Went Viral In Iowa
People love to see pictures of Bigfoot. Many photos of the creature go viral every year. A few from Iowa have made national news.
Bigfoot is always a fun lighthearted topic, and most believers are good people who are more than happy to share what they have seen. Today we will be looking at three times an Iowa Bigfoot made Major Headlines.
All three sightings a very different.
The White Water Canyon Sighting
This one happened a few years ago when a man named Jeremy saw a figure while on a walk and fortunately managed to get a picture. This happened in Bernard, Iowa at White Water Canyon.
This one made a few headlines and even appeared on a handful of TV shows. It still hasn't been proven fake, or real. Jeremy claims that whatever it was, it was really there.
"I was doing a morning walk at White Water Canyon with my sister, who lives up in Dubuque. I pointed out the figure and my sister laughed saying it was a person. We called out to it but got no response."

The Shell Rock River Sighting (Fake One)
Now let's look at a viral hoax. We know it was fake because it went viral in almost every state claiming to be from the said state... Conner Kenny in the Quad Cities broke this story real quick. You can see his breakdown of why it's fake here.
Conner Kenny from B100 did a reverse image search through Google and found the exact same photos from a story published by our sister station, WKDQ, in Kentucky back in July of 2021.
Ironically enough, the story of the person who say Bigfoot near a lake back then said something very similar in that post. Here's what was said,
"A Pulaski County man is happy to be safe at home after a scary incident near Lake Cumberland today.
Jared Arnett spotted a Bigfoot in the woods and took these amazing photographs of the beast. “At first I thought it was a grizzly bear, but once I got a better look at it I realized it was definitely a Sasquatch.”"
Wow... It's like it's the same post.
Waterloo Iowa Sighting
This one has a whole video behind it. Back in 2009, a team of Bigfoot fans came together to find the beast. The Daily Iowan recalled the story,
It was a cool spring evening in Waterloo, Iowa, 2009 when brothers Seth and Jesse Alne ventured into a small patch of woods. Cameras and flashlights drawn, the pair walked side by side down a dirt trail.
By the end of their adventure they swore they saw Bigfoot. Now fast forward to 2020, the team has come out with a video called Squatch Iowa. You can see their entire Bigfoot adventure, and so much more.
