A classic biannual arts festival is returning to Davenport.

The Spring edition of Beaux Arts Fair will be at Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds this month. The show this time of the year has become a Mother's Day staple. Art styles range from paintings to photography, to pottery, woodworking and sculptures, and more. The categories are juried to make sure the best art is on display and 'Best Of Category' winners are selected.

What To Know

The Beaux Arts Fair will be on Saturday, May 11th from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, May 12th from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Admission and parking are both free. There will be food, music, and plenty of art mediums for you to choose from.

Beaux Arts Fair began in 1967, making it one of the oldest art festivals in the Midwest. Sunshine Artist Magazine recognized the festival as one of the top 200 best art festivals in the nation. The fall edition of the fair is held at the Figge Art Museum. The spring festival was moved to the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds during the flood of 2019 and fans liked it so much, they decided to keep the spring festival there.

If you can't make it to the spring festival, the fall Beaux Arts Fair this year will be September 7th and 8th at the Figge Art Museum.

You can get more details about Beaux Arts Fair on their website. You can see a preview of the art that will be available and the artists attending on the festival's Facebook page.
