36,000 Pounds Of Ice To Become Famous Monuments At Icestravaganza
If Vanilla Ice's song Ice Ice Baby gets stuck in your head after reading this, don't blame me because it's the ice's fault. Seriously though, one of the best winter events to kick off every new year is once again happening and it's great for the entire family and for a fun weekend with your friends. Icestravaganza returns to the Freight House and LeClaire Park in downtown Davenport next week and this year's theme is famously monumental.
About Icestravaganza 2023
Get ready for Icestravaganza, presented by Rubberstamps.net and put on by the Downtown Davenport Partnership. Icestravaganza begins on Friday, January 13, and ends on Sunday, January 15th.
This family-friendly fun, outdoor winter event will feature more than 36,000 pounds of ice carved into beautiful displays centered around this year's theme: Famous Monuments.
During Icestravagana 2023, you can see some of your favorite monuments carved out of ice and colorized with LED lights. You can view these sculptures along the Freight House boardwalk or through the drive-through sculpture display on Beiderbecke Drive in LeClaire Park. The best view will be at night as the famous monuments made of ice are lit up all three nights from dusk to 10 p.m.
Icestravagana will not be short of a great time, great food, great people, and great drink. Check out Farmers' Market vendors as well as local beer and food available for purchase during Icestravagana. Freight House businesses serving up that delicious beer and tasty beer include:
- Front Street Brewery & Taproom
- The Diner
- Antonella's Pizzeria II
- Chill Ice Cream & Eats
