Some people say you can never have too many shoes, but one woman in Illinois would have to disagree.

Simone Boutet told ABC 7 that for a few months now, she will randomly receive a pair of shoes, with no rhyme or reason to the style or size. She says some of them are so outrageous, they're almost laughable.

"They're really funny," Boutet said. "And they're really, really, really tacky."

"You'd go out to get the mail, and the boxes would look like they've been through a war. I'd open them up and find something like combat boots with six-inch heels," she told us.

It's understandable that you'd receive one or two wrong packages, but she's had between fifteen and twenty pairs of shoes show up.

"I can't get it to stop and it's really funny because of the shoes themselves, they're just hilariously not my style," she told ABC 7. "And it just, it doesn't stop. It's absurdity. You know, it's an absurdity."

So here's what happened:

There's an Amazon shoe vendor, based in China, called Parisuit. The vendor's return address labels say "RETURNS DEPARTMENT" and "Simone," on Elm Street in Chicago. It isn't a shoe return center either, so UPS tried to fix the issue by redirecting the packages to Simone in Oak Park.

"My whole front stoop was like boxes and boxes of shoes, and they all have height. A lot of them are really high heels which is very amusing to me," Boutet told ABC 7.
