A Lockport, Illinois family says a wall in their 9-year-old's bedroom has been talking and playing music for years.

After being freaked out by the sounds, Richard Smith and his family have grown accustomed to it, but still want answers. Eventually, the determined that the voices they heard at night was AM 1160, a local Christian radio station.

It's known by musicians everywhere that crappy amplifiers with a grounding issue can pick up AM stations, which can be freaky when you're home alone practicing in the middle of the night.

The station sent their engineer over to help Richard Smith determine the issue, figuring a speaker of some kind was stuck in the wall.

Richard tore the wall apart, and no speaker was found, and all electrical wiring within the walls checked out. The engineer told Richard "I got to be honest with you. I don't know what is acting as a speaker. There is nothing I can explain of why you're actually hearing it."

According to Patrick Burger, Director of Engineering at Cumulus Media, said things such as corroded plumbing can cause the phenomenon, and something as simple as metal studs in the wall can act as a speaker.

Hopefully they come up with a solution sooner than later.
