Police in Palm Bay, Florida had to trespass and then arrest a man dressed as a clown who was asked to leave a shopping complex. Of course, we're writing about it, so he did not leave willingly.

Officers with the Palm Bay Police Department were called to a shopping center off Interchange Drive Northeast after a man who was previously trespassed from the area showed up again dressed as a clown.

“What do you call someone who returns to a shopping plaza after they’ve been Trespassed? ….a clown,” the police department wrote in a Facebook post.

The man, who was identified, was wearing a weird knockoff Ronald McDonald costume, but two things made it out that he was not - his unshaven face, and a patch on the front of his suit that was shaped like a human skull.

Of course, no clown costume is complete without a bright red nose.

Body cam footage shared by the department showed them trying to arrest the man for breaking the trespass, and the man tried to fight back. The officers got him onto the ground and searched him, where they found a gun...

... an orange, plastic gun, tucked in his waistband as if it was real.

The officers got the man into the back of a squad car, and one of the officers said "You look like a clown."

The man replied, "I am a clown, stupid."

After investigating the bag he had with him, which had a pack of cigarettes, a box full of clown noses, and more clown clothing.

“Everyone has a right to feel safe in public spaces,” the police department said. “We’re committed to addressing those who repeatedly refuse to respect that.”
