Quad City Storm to Host Sixth Annual Hockey Fights Cancer Ice Painting Event

The Quad City Storm and UnityPoint Health - Trinity are teaming up to host the sixth annual Hockey Fights Cancer Ice Painting event on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Vibrant Arena at The MARK. This community event invites Quad Citizens to honor their loved ones battling or who have battled cancer by painting their names directly on the ice.

From 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, participants will have the opportunity to add names to the rink, which will be displayed for the public throughout the Storm's upcoming home games. The names will remain visible during the Storm’s games on February 6, 7, and 8, allowing fans to show support for those affected by cancer.

The ice painting event is open to the public, and all supplies—including paint and brushes—will be provided by the Storm.

The Hockey Fights Cancer campaign culminates on Saturday, February 8, with a special themed game presented by UnityPoint Health - Trinity. During the game, the Storm will wear specialty Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys, which will be auctioned off postgame to raise funds for the Trinity Cancer Center. Bettendorf City Administrator Decker Ploehn will host the jersey auction.

Additionally, the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a foam glow stick, making it a night to remember both on and off the ice.

Tickets for the February 6, 7, and 8 games are available now. Fans can purchase single-game tickets through QuadCityStorm.com, Ticketmaster.com, or at the Vibrant Arena box office.
