There always is an older person who's more in shape than you, and this one just makes me feel awful about myself.

Sister Rene Parman just celebrated her 105th birthday in Northeast Ohio, spending the day doing her favorite non-church activity: Golf.

She wasn't interested in playing until she was in her 40s, which means she's been playing golf for about 60 years and is probably better than any of us ever will be.

She said it wasn't until her friends convinced her to try the game that she finally got into it.

“I drove the cart and they said to me, ‘Why don’t you take a chance and just, you know, think about doing it yourself,’” she told WGN. “‘What do I do?’ I said. They said you hit the ball. That was my only instructions that I ever received.”

For her 100th birthday - during COVID shutdowns - her friends came together and gave her a mini-golf celebration. Now, 5 years later she's back on the links.

“It’s a wonderful place to be, very meditative place. It’s a beautiful place,” Parman said. “I love it. I love to do it. And I think it’s wonderful exercise and [I think it’s] the thing that kept me going as well as I have.”

If you watch the video of her playing, you'll see she actually will outdrive any of us, even at 105 - and all that walking to play helps her look not a day over 80.

No word if her and the other sisters play Beer Bogey or not.

LOOKS: Things you'd likely see in an awesomely '80s garage

From scandalous bikini calendars to your dad's AMC Gremlin, '80s garages were a treasure trove of adventure, good fun, and sometimes downright danger.
