The Golden Corral in Davenport, a place many chose for celebrations, has announced they are closing their doors.

Open since 1998, the Golden Corral has been the buffet spot where many have spent birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations because it was the place to go where everyone could find something they wanted.

From steak, to seafood, to soups, and every side you can think of, you could pay a flat rate to eat as much as you wanted.

Now, the restaurant is closing its doors.

Employees at the store have said that for undisclosed reasons, they'll be shutting the doors of the restaurant on July 6th - or as long as they have food to serve.

Located on Elmore Avenue, the restaurant will continue its usual operating hours until they close their doors.

It's a blow to those who love buffets, as it's one of the last buffets in the area serving all types of food.

It's not clear what the reason is for closing, but we'll all be sad to see it go.
