Girl Scouts Launch 2026 Cookie Season with New Flavor
The wait is over for cookie lovers. The Girl Scouts officially kicked off their 2026 sale season, introducing a brand-new treat to the nationwide lineup.
A New Twist on a Classic Treat
The star of this year’s collection is the Exploremores, a sandwich cookie inspired by the flavors of rocky road ice cream. This new addition features chocolate cookies filled with a blend of marshmallow and toasted almond-flavored crème.
According to the organization, the flavor is designed to capture “the limitless spirit of exploration that drives Girl Scouts.” Wendy Lou, who manages the cookie program, shared her excitement in a recent announcement: “Girl Scout Cookie season is always a moment of joy and tradition, and this year promises to be incredibly exciting.”
Changes to the Cookie Lineup
While favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas, and Tagalongs are back, the menu has seen some changes. To make room for the Exploremores, the Girl Scouts have retired two previous varieties: the French toast-inspired Toast-Yay! and the Girl Scout S’mores.
Supporting Local Communities
The annual sale is more than just a snack—it’s a business lesson for young members. As GSUSA stated, “With each cookie box sold, consumers are supporting Girl Scouts as they learn, grow and thrive through all of life’s adventures.”
All profits remain within local councils to fund activities and educational programs. The season runs through April. To find a local booth, you can visit girlscoutcookies.org or text COOKIES to 59618.
