High Winds Cause Structure Collapse in Davenport
After gusts of high winds and an extra 3-4 inches of snow, damage reports are sure to begin rolling in across Iowa. One of the first we've received is of a structure collapse in Davenport.
The GD Express, at W 46th Street and N. Pine Street, saw the toll a combination of high winds, gusting between 35-40 miles per hour, and heavy snow will take after their pump's island canopy completely collapsed.
An employee for GD Express told us no one was injured when the canopy came crashing down.
"The wind picked up and the whole thing just came down," she said.
The winter storm warning continues for the Quad Cities through 6am Friday morning.
