Know a Healthcare Worker That Deserves Some Love? Chipotle Wants to Help
The past couple years have made me very appreciative of the health care workers in our community. Being married to one of them has been an eye opening experience and a scary one during certain times.
I'm very lucky to work in the field I do. During the pandemic I was able to work from my basement while others had to fight this virus straight on every single day.
But just because we're a couple years into the start of this thing doesn't mean we have forgotten the sacrifices health care workers continue to make day in and day out.
I'm happy that Chipotle Mexican Grill announced today it is recognizing healthcare heroes by awarding 2,000 medical professionals with free Chipotle for a year.
How it Works
Now through May 6th, (which happens to be National Nurses Day) you can tag a "healthcare hero" that you feel has made a positive impact on your life or your community. Then leave a comment about their efforts posts on Chipotle's Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
Then Chipotle will randomly select 2,000 of those tagged medical professionals for free Chipotle for a year.
"The morale of our healthcare heroes becomes more and more important each year," said Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer. "With the help of our fans, we're starting a movement for genuine recognition of our medical professionals that will fuel many of them with real food for a full year."
We don't hold signs outside of hospitals anymore and there's no cowbells and cheering as the shifts change, but the appreciation is still there. Here's a great way to show it.
