Arena rock was a fairly new thing when Foreigner hit the scene.  They released their debut album in 1977 and were selling out giant venues and raising the bar for what live shows looked like. Plus, the classic lineup of Foreigner was a force to be reckoned with.

97X proudly presents "Live In Concert". Tune in every Sunday night for 2 hours of classic concerts from the biggest names in rock It's Live In Concert, Sunday nights at 8pm, on Your Classic Rock Authority, 97X.

This Sunday, your headlining set is from Foreigner on their Debut Album Tour at The Rainbow Theatre, London, England, April 27, 1978

After releasing their self-titled debut album in March of 1977, Foreigner took the rock world by storm. They were selling out full size arenas in the U-S, and by the spring of 1978 they were touring Europe, Japan, and Australia. This weekend, we’ll listen to a legendary performance from this tour, captured live at the Rainbow Theatre in London. It was April 27th, 1978. They played a lot of material from that amazing first album, and they gave the fans a preview of retrial from their then forthcoming 2nd album, “Double Vision.” Don’t miss the classic lineup of Foreigner! They’re headlining the next Live in Concert.

  • Plus don't miss live performances from Whitesnake from “Monsters of Rock”, Castle Donington, England, August 18, 1990
  • Also a great set from Live at The Paradiso, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, July 1, 2008
  • And don't miss Peter Frampton at Warner Theatre, Washington, D.C., February 19, 2012
