Florida Man Stole Police Webcam on His Way Out of Jail
If you got busted for breaking the law, would breaking the law on your way out of jail be a good idea?
As he was leaving jail after posting bond, Floridan Steven Moran (35) decided it was the perfect time to swipe a $60 webcam off of a desk in the lockup.
While he was “awaiting release in the booking area," he unplugged a Logitech webcam from the jail's computer and put it in his pocket. He then left the jail after posting his $1000 bond.
Investigators were quickly able to identify that Moran was the one who stole the webcam, and caught up with him Thursday for denying “the County Jail the right and use of the property.”
Moran was once again freed after posting a $500 bond on the new misdemeanor theft count.
It doesn't seem like any other items turned up missing after Moran's most recent visit.
