Florida Man Stole Ambulance, Got it Stuck in Mud
Trey Allen Cornwell, 29, was arrested Sunday after an automobile theft left an ambulance crew without a vehicle.
According to deputies in Hernando County, Florida, an ambulance crew was moving a patient inside the Oak Hill Hospital, and when they came out, the ambulance was gone.
Deputies say Cornwell stole and drove the ambulance to a neighborhood near a body of water. It was going good for him until he got the ambulance stuck in some mud and sand as he approached the water.
The chase after the suspect didn't end there, because Cornwell bailed and ran to a nearby shopping area. He was caught near a sheriff's office substation.

So far, there's been no word of what his motive for the act was.
Trey Cornwell has been charged with grand theft auto, and is still sitting in Hernando County Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
