Florida Man Robs Bank Day After Being Released From Prison For Bank Robbery
A man released from prison after being convicted for robbing a bank eight years ago allegedly robbed another bank on Thursday - just one day after being released.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, 59-year-old Timothy Jones was released from prison on Wednesday of last week after serving a full eight-year sentence for a 2013 bank robbery.
On Thursday, according to deputies who spoke with Click Orlando, Timothy Jones became wanted for an armed bank robbery and carjacking in the Orlando area.
Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office say Timothy Jones walked into the Truist Bank on S. Orange Blossom Trail, implied to employees that he had a gun and demanded $150,000 in cash.
Rather than show up with a getaway car, Timothy Jones went outside, carjacked a dark-gray 2014 Toyota Camry and fled the area.
He was last seen wearing a short-sleeved polo shirt that was blue in color, blue cargo shorts, and white socks.
Anyone who knows anything about the whereabouts of Timothy Jones is asked to contact the sheriff's office. They believe Jones may have left the car and could be traveling by bus.
