Florida Man Gets DUI in a Golf Cart

Before you ask, yes, you can get a DUI while driving around in a golf cart. 58-year-old David Cole found that out the hard way when cruising around Jensen Beach, Florida.

Earlier this month a Martin County Sheriff's deputy was called to an address after a crash happened. According to reports, two men in a tan golf cart collided with a sign and looked intoxicated.

The deputy found a golf cart matching the description and stop Cole who was wearing a Budweiser shirt and khakis. He had a half empty bottle of Stolichnaya vodka with him in the golf cart.

“I asked Mr. Cole what happened,” the deputy said. “He stated that he struck a sign with the golf cart on accident.”

He was arrested and charged with DUI with property damage and leaving the scene of a crash.
