Family Discovers Eight-Foot Alligator in Pool

The next time you step outside on a cold day and ask yourself, "Why do I live where the air hurts my face?" Just remember that we don't have to deal with random alligators in the Quad Cities.

Matt Fino in Boca Raton, Florida let his dog out on Monday morning, as he does every morning so that little Charlie can do his business.

When his dog wouldn't respond to his calls, Matt went to retrieve the pooch from the poolside. As he down to pick up Charlie, he saw an 8-foot alligator looking back at him from the water.

His wife was still in bed when Matt ran into the house screaming. The whole family had to come outside to see what was up and then immediately ran inside for safety.

Trappers had to be called to retrieve the gator.
