Empire Strikes Back Tops Box Office For First Time in 23 Years
For the first time since its 1980 release, "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" is at the top of the box office because of a re-release at drive-in theaters.
So far, it's brought in $175,000 at over 480 locations, and the movie is expected to bring in between $400,000 and $500,000 by the end of this upcoming weekend.
Other films now popping up at drive-ins are other classics like "Jaws", "Ghostbusters" and "Jurassic Park."
I'm just excited because my kids will get to see the movies I saw at the drive-in on their original releases.
