A new survey by Visa found that the average person spends $11 when they go out for lunch. That's $55 a week and more than $2,500 a year.

People who bring their lunch to work spend $6.30 a day. That would save $23.50 a week, and at least $1,100 a year.

The average person goes out to lunch twice a week, and packs something or eats at home the rest of the week. The survey also found men are more likely to go out to lunch than women, and spend about 60% more on their food.
