Hotel Requests Cancellation

A woman shared a story about booking a hotel with Expedia, the traveler website, and it's gone viral.

The rate she got was too good. So good, that the hotel called her up and asked her to cancel the reservation because the rate was "too low."

She called up Expedia, who told her they got the room at that rate, and told her unless she cancels, they would have to honor it.

So, then the woman turns around and calls the hotel and tell them what they said, and the hotel said they would not accommodate her reservation.

Hotel sent me a message asking to cancel!

Is this going to be a new problem with the travel world?

Dirt Rain

Yesterday morning, Goose woke up earlier than normal so he decided to get his car washed and get the salt off before he came into work.

Of course, three hours later we would have something that we've all referred to as dirt rain. So yeah, go ahead and blame him for that one.

The winds across Texas and New Mexico picked up a bunch of their dirt and dust, which got stuck in the atmosphere, and then that dropped on us when it stormed. It was even visible from space.

Controversy in Hockey

Last night the game between the Avalanche and the Leafs was tied 1-1, and during the 3rd period in a penalty kill, one of the Leaf's players tried to clear the puck. The referee was trying to get out of the way, but slipped and fell and stopped the puck.

This set up Steven Lorentz for a shorthanded goal, and the game's final ended up 2-1 for a Leafs win.

The controversy lies in if you watch the replay at the right angle, it could look like the ref dove out to stop the puck.

Vandelay Industries

A guy got busted in Brooklyn for a fraud case, where he defrauded $1,337,700 by pretending to be part of a fake company - "Vandelay Contracting Corp."

Yeah, the same Vandelay from Seinfeld.

“Sfraga callously stole from friends, next-door neighbors, and the parents of children who played on teams with his own children, as well as from individual cryptocurrency investors,” stated United States Attorney John J. Durham. “There was nothing funny about his use of a Seinfeldian company, Vandelay Industries, to carry out this fraud, which caused severe financial and emotional harm to the hard-working men and women who trusted him.”

Kicking A Field Goal

We talked about kicking a field goal this morning, and how none of the show (except Hairball) was able to pull it off and actually kick one.

How It's Unmade

There's a weird video series that shows how stuff is "Unmade." It works the same as How It's Made.

Check out this one - showing how chickens are turned into eggs.

Sammy Hagar Car

Here's the car Dwyer got chewed out for saying something about the car.
