There are plenty of good excuses to give cops if you're pulled over, regardless of what they pulled you over for. The "BEES!" excuse works some of the time, or "There was a spider dangling down in front of my eyes" or the classic "I really have to poop" is almost a guaranteed win. One that isn't going to work is telling the cop that you are currently drinking.

On March 13th, police in Broadview Heights, Ohio, noticed a Honda Accord weaving and traveling only at 38mph in a 60mph section of Interstate 77.

Other drivers had to slam on their brakes and move over to not be hit by the driver who seemed oblivious to the situation.

An officer pulled her over, and the driver told him she was "tired from working at her job in Akron," and was on her way home.

She then also complained about speeders that were continuously coming up behind her. The officer, while she spoke, noticed the smelly smell of alcohol on her breath, so he had her step out for a field sobriety test.

She failed and was arrested.

When the officer looked in her car, he found a plastic cup filled up with liquor in the cupholder. The woman stressed that she needed the booze to stay awake for her drive home from work.

She was cited for DUI, as well as for slow speed and open container.
