Whenever I talk to a mechanic about weird MacGyver-type fixes, they say "as long as it works, I won't be bothered by it." Apparently, the police don't see things the same way.

A Washington State Patrol trooper spotted the car on I-90 early Monday morning driving with what the trooper described as "extremely dim headlights," according to Officer Rick Johnson.

After pulling over the driver over, the trooper discovered that there weren't necessarily headlights, but more duct taped flashlights in the spots where the headlights would normally be.

The car had significant front-end damage and was missing the original lamps. The reason the lights were so dim, was because the batteries were dead.
