Defendant Sucker-Punches Defense Attorney In Courtroom

They say if you love what you do, you'll never work another day in your life. Well, for this guy it looks like he may not have to go to work for a while.

Lamont Payne was standing trial on allegations of attacking a prison corrections officer back in 2016, when he suddenly stands up and punches the public defender. From the looks of it, it seems he punches him right in the throat. He was unhappy and rolling his eyes, swearing, and making a scene.

The attorney, Vladimir Gagic, was hired by the Maricopa County Public Defender's Office to represent Mr. Payne, who allegedly bit a corrections officer at a Maricopa County jail on the ankle in 2016.
