Quad City Deckmate Dancers Announce 2026 Tryouts
The music is loud, the lights are bright, and "Wheeler Nation" is waiting for you! The Quad City Steamwheelers have officially opened the call for the 2026 Deckmate Dancers, and this year marks a thrilling new chapter for the team. If you have a passion for performance and a heart for the Quad Cities community, your moment to shine arrives this January.
A New Era Under Coach Taylor Vrchoticky
Leading the charge for the upcoming season is newly appointed Head Coach Taylor Vrchoticky. A former Deckmate herself with over 20 years of dance experience, Vrchoticky understands exactly what it takes to succeed on the turf at Vibrant Arena.
"I've been part of the Steamwheelers organization as a Deckmate Dancer, Season Ticket Holder, and now as the Head Coach," said Vrchoticky. "I'm looking for dancers from all backgrounds who have a zest for performance and understand the importance of representing not only the Deckmates and the Steamwheelers, but also their community."
More Than Just a Game Day Performance
Being a Deckmate is about more than just the choreography at home games. These athletes serve as ambassadors for the entire region, appearing at special events and community gatherings throughout the year. As a member of this dynamic team, you’ll gain professional performance experience while building a legacy within the Indoor Football League (IFL).
