Davenport's West End Hy-Vee Temporarily Closed

The West End Hy-Vee located on Rockingham Road in Davenport announced they will be closed today and possibly into this weekend.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Rockingham Rd. Hy-Vee will be closed temporarily for the next day or two," the store wrote on its Facebook page.

The store hasn't released information as to why the store is closed, but they have provided information regarding prescriptions.

"Pharmacy prescriptions can be picked up at our West Locust Hy-Vee location," they wrote. The West Locust Hy-Vee location is located at 2351 West Locust Street in Davenport, just up the hill from the Rockingham store - just a short 6 minute drive.

Commenters on their post mention seeing fire crews in and on top of the building Thursday, but the store hasn't made a comment as of Friday morning.

"I saw the firetruck & fire chief truck there. The firemen were on the roof by the air conditioner unit. Mid-American was there too. All employees were outside and the store was dark inside," Julie Ginn wrote on the post.
