If you have a Jeep you love taking off the beaten path, there's an event just outside of Dubuque you don't want to miss this weekend.

Just before ski season gets on board, Sundown Mountain Resort is giving Jeep owners the chance to see what their machines are made of with Jeeps On The Mountain. 

Drive your Jeeps, military vehicles, Broncos, Scouts, K5s, Land Rovers, Toyotas, expedition and safari vehicles along the designated off-road mountain trails and obstacles.

Primitive campsites open at 1pm on Friday, October 13th.

Saturday at 9am, breakfast begins with Briskets & Gravy Breakfast benefiting Veteran’s Freedom Center. The trails open at 10am, and the schedule for the day follows:

Saturday:

  • 10 AM-Dusk: Trail open
  • 10 AM-6 PM: Vendor & Activity Area, Kids Zone, and Power Wheels Crawler Course open
  • 11 AM: Food Trucks begin serving
  • Noon-4 PM: Live music from Shannon Woulfe at the Vendor & Activity Area
  • 4 PM-8 PM: Live music from Joe Valenti inside the North Lodge

Campsites close Sunday at noon.

Trail passes for the weekend cost $30 per vehicle. Admission to the grounds for ages 15 & older costs $10, but kids 14 and under are free. Camping is $15 a night.

Food trucks for Saturday include Hangry HoboGrillbilly’s BBQMyson’s Taco’s and Burritos.
