A burglar found himself in a compromising situation when law enforcement officers burst into a home bathroom during the late hours of the night. The Colorado police department released unsettling video footage capturing the moment they entered the premises while the suspect was using the toilet.

Caught With His Pants Down

The police had received reports of an ongoing burglary in the early hours of Thursday morning. Lakewood police officers promptly responded to the property around 4 am, where they encountered the suspect in a rather literal manifestation of being "caught with his pants down." Bodycam footage reveals a heavily armed officer forcefully opening a door and discovering the suspect seated on the toilet.

Raising his hands, the burglar uttered, "I'm on the toilet, buddy," complying with police directives to surrender. Subsequently, he dismounted from the toilet, stood up, and raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, all while his trousers remained around his ankles. According to a post on the department's Facebook page, law enforcement utilized a drone in the pursuit and apprehension of the purported burglar. The individual was subsequently transported to jail, facing charges of second-degree burglary.

The Facebook Post:

The post read: "You know the ol’ adage “caught with your pants down?” Somebody should’ve told this burglary suspect who was arrested by Lakewood Police Agents early this morning. When a verified burglary alarm went off, Agents quickly got to the scene and utilized a drone to look for a suspect. While we see a lot of things in the line of doody, we had no clue what awaited us this time! The suspect was taken to jail (after pulling his pants up) and is being held on 2nd-degree burglary charges. Overall great teamwork by our Patrol and Drone Teams."
