Cole Cottew Talks His Season Ending Snocross Crash
Snocross star, Cole Cottew, is recovering at home after a scary crash in early March that gave him multiple broken bones and ended his season prematurely.
Listen to Cole and Malene's full interview here:
"Ended up breaking my Femur, Collarbone, Scapula, and have a big cut on my thigh that I’m gonna need to get a skin graph on this morning," Cole shared on Instagram, writing from his hospital bed.
During a race, he hit a wall on the edge of the track, which launched him from the snowmobile and over the handlebars, into the cement wall.
Cole had to have multiple surgeries, and he might be more machine than man at this point. Check out these X-rays he shared with us.
We were looking forward to seeing him in Dubuque at the Theisen's Snocross National on April 1st, but the amount of work he needs done, it doesn't look like we'll be seeing him.
Instead, we'll cheer on his wife, Malene Cottew, who is leading the Full Pro Women's Division.

Cole mentioned a crash he had last time he raced at Sundown Mountain Resort, and it's pretty freaky. You can see him get up and run off of the course at the end of the clip.
