Christmas Season Begins With Lighting On The Commons in Moline This Saturday
The Christmas season feelings begin this Saturday with the Lighting On The Commons in Moline this Saturday night.
Every year, Moline decorates the John Deere Commons with Christmas lights, and prepares an entire lighting ceremony.
Starting at 3:30pm on Saturday, November 19th, Santa Claus will be hanging around, finding out what the little boys and girls want for Christmas, kicking off the holiday season and other events.
Events:
From 3:30pm-6:00pm, on top of meeting Santa Claus, horse-drawn wagon rides around downtown Moline.
Starting at 4:00pm, free cookies, cider, and hot cocoa will fuel your socializing and Christmas spirit, and keep you warm until the ceremony.
6:00pm is the official lighting ceremony. The lamps along the John Deere Commons will turn off, and the Christmas display will turn on, accompanied by a firework show.
The Christmas tree in the circle of the Vibrant Arena at The Mark is a part of this display, so you can head across the street for photos in front of the tree.
