Any Weekend is Good for a Chili Cook-Off. This Weekend is a GREAT One!
No matter what time of year it is, there’s always something comforting about some hot chili. Perhaps it’s the fact that chili itself isn’t fancy food, but it definitely tastes good and always hits the spot when you’re looking for comfort. One of the things that makes chili so perfect as a comfort food is that there are so many ways to enjoy it. You can get lots of different varieties from lots of different places, and you can eat it any time of day or night.
In many places, people think of chili as a wintery comfort food. After a cold, snowy day, you can warm up with a big bowl of spicy goodness. But it’s not just for these chilly days—chili can be enjoyed all year round! Many people have great memories associated with favorite chili recipes that date back to childhood or fun and lively family dinners. Chili is an excellent dish for entertaining groups of friends, especially those watching sports at home or out on a deck in warmer weather!
With chili, you can have a custom meal every time. You can top your bowl with fresh tomatoes, sour cream, onions and many other toppings. But you have to have crackers, right?
