Chick-Fil-A Blows Out Entire Shift Staff Over TikTok Video
Have you ever posted something on social media that got you in trouble at work? Eight people from a Chick-Fil-A can now give warnings about posting videos on TikTok after they were all fired from their jobs.
It's not totally been revealed what location or what city, but a video posted in late March showed members of a night-shift crew dancing inside the restaurant while in uniform to the song “Wanna Mingle," with the caption "My CFA crew better than yours."
In the video, all of the employees, including the men, are dancing to the song while bouncing their breasts up and down.
The video blew up, and a few days later the creator returned with an update "story time" video explaining that the entire group had been fired.
“We got fired. Every single last one of us got fired,” the creator said, explaining that the video was filmed after closing and that no customers were present at the time.
According to the employee, he had coordinated with her co-workers during their shift to make the video, and said he claimed he was willing to take it down if it caused any problems.
“The video got posted on Friday … and y’all hit me up on Sunday to let me know that I was fired,” he said.
There has been discussion of whether or not the disciplinary action needed was to let the staff go or not, while others remind them that while you're in your company's logo, you're subject to their terms.
“I mean a write up would’ve sufficed! I don’t think y’all should’ve gotten fired,” one person wrote. Another said, “I thought the video was a good advertisement tbh. Made me want some cfa but nvm now.”
