Check Out This McDonaldland Character Spec Book From 1975

Scott sent us this awesome piece of history he found online, showing off some of the old McDonald's characters we all grew up with.

Apparently, McDonald's Corporate kept this booklet around so that when they would do new marketing or design for costumes and toys, they'd know exactly what proportions and guidelines to follow to keep their characters canon.

It also shows off some characters that I had no idea about, like "Captain Crook," the pirate character who stole Filet-O-Fish.

Or how about "The Professor," this creepy bearded guy who "holds the record for most patents pending."
