Check Out The Biggest Rock Memorabilia Auction of The Year
If you love classic rock, there's an auction that's going to blow your mind (and your budget).
Whether you love Rush, Van Halen, Skynyrd, Nirvana, Mountain, or any other name, there's something on here that'll make you consider taking out a loan and placing a bid.
For example, this Bumblebee that was played by Eddie Van Halen at their 2008 show in Des Moines, Iowa.
It's signed with the city and date. Julien's details the lot:
The guitar features a maple neck and fingerboard, Fender Stratocaster-style headstock, and chrome-colored "Charvel / EVH / Art Series" neck plate with serial number "139." This guitar has a yellow body with a unique, black hand-striped design by Van Halen in tribute to his "Bumblebee" guitar. The front of the body is signed and inscribed in black sharpie: "Des Moines IA. / 2.6.08 / Eddie Van Halen / Van Halen 2008." The guitar features an EVH humbucking pickup, Floyd Rose tremolo fitted with an EVH D-Tuna Drop D tuning system, and one black volume knob inscribed: "TONE" as a nod to Van Halen using spare parts on his early guitars. The tremolo cavity features a "Genuine / EVH" sticker numbered "00139."
Also available, Alex Lifeson's doubleneck guitar.
Or here's something really cool. Kurt Cobain's personally owned 1965 Dodge Dart. His sister, Kim, bought it off of Courtney Love after Kurt's tragic death, and has owned it for the last 28 years, maintaining the vehicle herself.
